In a four- year period, Dr. Jones has perfected his technique. The success of his advanced method of follicular unit extraction has drawn the attention of physicians worldwide, and led Dr. Jones to offer physician training at his clinic. As more and more individuals are looking for a way to combat baldness, the Jones Technique becomes a much sought after procedure! Today, physicians from Europe, Asia, South America and the United States visit Dr. Jones to learn how to implement follicular unit extraction into their own practices. Follicular unit grafts are created using a method called follicular unit extraction. The technique involves removing hairs from a donor area, such as the chest or back, and relocating them to the head. Patients do not feel any discomfort as local anesthetics allow the hairs to be painlessly removed and inserted into tiny .7 to 1mm slits on the recipient’s bald spot. These individual hairs are aligned side-to-side for up to 60 grafts or 120 hairs per square cm, producing up to 2000 microscopically created grafts in a single section. Each graft is made up of an individual hair follicle, or can include up to four hairs. By carefully creating each graft, Dr. Jones can produce results that mirror hair’s natural growth pattern. Follicular unit grafts offer patients a successful hair restoration that is remarkably natural.
